Privacy Policy

ModelRadar ("ModelRadar", "we", "us") operates the website modelradar.embervalue.com and the API at api.modelradar.embervalue.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights over it.

Who we are

ModelRadar is an independent developer tool and is the data controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy question, contact contact@embervalue.com.

What we collect

  • Email address — when you sign up for retirement alerts or request an API key. Provided voluntarily by you.
  • API usage data — when you call the API we log the request path, timestamp, API key, and IP address, to enforce rate limits, prevent abuse, and operate the service.
  • Payment data — if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details; we receive only your subscription status and a Stripe customer identifier.
  • Analytics — we use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics that do not track you across sites and do not collect personal data.

We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell personal data.

Why we use it (lawful basis)

  • To deliver the alerts and API access you requested — consent and performance of a contract.
  • To bill paid plans — performance of a contract.
  • To secure the service, prevent abuse, and enforce rate limits — legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

We share data only with processors that help us run the service:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Resend — sending transactional and alert emails.
  • Hetzner — hosting (servers located in the EU).
  • Cloudflare — DNS and network security.

Each processor handles your data under its own agreement and only on our instructions.

International transfers

Our servers are in the EU. Some processors (for example Stripe) may process data outside the EU under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your email and account data while your subscription or alert subscription is active, and delete it on request. API logs are retained for a short period for security and then discarded.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these, email contact@embervalue.com and we will respond within the legally required time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and hashing of API keys. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected users and authorities of any breach as required by law.

Children

ModelRadar is a developer tool and is not directed at anyone under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy; the effective date above will change and material changes will be announced on the site.
